Enoxaparin injection is a blood thinner that is used to prevent blood clots in the legs in patients who are on bedrest or who are having hip, knee, or stomach surgery. It is used in conjunction with aspirin to avoid angina (chest discomfort) and heart attacks consequences. It’s also used to treat blood clots in the legs when used with warfarin. Enoxaparin belongs to the low molecular weight heparins class of drugs. It acts by preventing the production of clotting substances.
