Polidocanol injection is a prescription medicine used in the treatment with varicose veins. It is used to treat spider veins (varicose veins with a diameter of less than or equal to 1 mm) and simple reticular veins (varicose veins with a diameter of 1 to 3 mm) in the lower limb. Polidocanol is also used to treat large auxiliary saphenous veins that are incompetent, saphenous veins and apparent varicose veins in the vast saphenous vein system above and below the knee.
